As the year swiftly moved towards the peak of the shaadi season, one celebrity couple that we’ve all been excited for finally tied the knot. The wedding festivities started off with a simple yet beautiful mayun, later the ceremony of mehndi was held and after the couple got nikkah-fied in a grand ceremony yesterday they had an intimate valima ceremony.
She glowed in a peela jorra on her mayoon. On the other day, Iqra looked mehndi perfect in her traditional mustard yellow frock. She wore a beautiful traditional red lehenga by Nomi Ansari on her nikkah and finally a silver/gray outfit for her valima, by Sadaf Fawad Khan.

Paired with a red net dupatta that’s embellished with an intricate border, and scatter of small bootis and chann. We loved creating this piece as much as Iqra is loving wearing it! . Priyanka Chopra @priyankachopra makes for a stunning bride in a custom red Sabyasachi lehenga. Hand-embroidered and hand-cut organza flowers, French knots in silk floss, delicate Siam-red crystals and layer upon layer of threadwork embroidery creates this piece of impossible couture. 110 embroiderers from Calcutta, India took 3720 hours to create this modern masterpiece. As an ode to the resplendence of Mughal jewellery, her wedding jewellery was crafted with uncut diamonds, emeralds and Japanese cultured pearls in 22 karat gold and had delicate tiny stars in uncut diamonds to give a sense of whimsy to an important traditional piece. Nick Jonas @nickjonas wears a hand-quilted silk sherwani with a hand-embroidered chikan dupatta and a chanderi tissue safa. There is no doubt that Priyanka Chopra’s look did start a trend for deep all red traditional shaadi looks lately. Quite a few brides, famous and ordinary ones, have sported similar shades.
