Pakistani Fashion Designer Bride Wore A Breastplate With An Antique Gold Saree For Her Reception
Just like Indian weddings, Pakistani wedding also never misses the chance to grab millions of eyes worldwide. The grandeur of the weddings and the couple’s ensembles often take centre stage of attraction. And keeping up with trends, the brides also incorporate their business ideas into their wedding outfits. Similar is the case of the bride, Misha Japanwala, who is also a visual artist and fashion designer of Pakistan. The bride implemented the concept of breastplates in her reception look and grabbed our attention.

Karachi-born designer, Misha Japanwala got married to the love of her life Fisher Neal in a grand wedding. However, her reception looks in a breastplate along with a saree, needed a special mention. For the post-wedding event, the Pakistani bride stunned in an uniquely designed bespoke antique gold saree from an iconic Karachi designer, Rizwan Beyg.

The saree featured age-old marori embroidery all over it and the duo’s name printed on her pallu. She paired it with an emerald green velvet blouse, and a net dupatta with gold embroidery. But ahead of heading for the venue, she wore a high-necked gold resin breastplate designed by herself, and it was completely ravishing.

She completed her look with her mother’s heirloom jewellery, including a peacock motif necklace, a bracelet and a maang teeka. She also wore a matching choker, earrings and jhoomar to round off her look. A sleek bun, nude lipstick, smokey brown eyeshadow and highlighted cheeks completed Misha’s wedding day look. On the other hand, Fisher wore a handwoven Benarasi sherwani and the duo looked stunning together.

Bride looked breathtaking in an off-white net saree for her beach wedding

Ahead of her nikaah, Misha exchanged the vows with the love of her life, Fisher in a beach wedding, paying respect to his Tennessee culture and traditions. For the day, she wore an off-white net saree with lace flowers and hand-worked gold embroidery. This saree was worn by Misha’s grandmother, 62 years ago on her wedding day. And Misha recreated the beautiful moment by teaming it with a Benarasi sleeveless blouse.

Along with it, Misha opted for small, heirloom jewellery, including her late mother-in-law’s gold bracelet and ring, and her mother’s gold and pearl earrings. The look was completed with a dewy, weightless makeup and open tresses. On the other hand, Fisher wore a blue-hued suit.

The bride stunned in a grey lehenga choli on her nikaah

For her nikaah, Misha opted for a grey-hued lehenga choli by a Karachi-based designer, Shamaeel. It featured intricate floral embroidery all over it. She styled it with a matching blouse and a soft net dupatta. In addition, Misha chose a soft and romantic look, featuring winged eyes and pink lipstick, with her hair open in loose curls. And to compliment the then bride, Fisher opted for an off-white sherwani, and altogether, they looked picture-perfect.

Bride wore a self-designed backless kurta on her haldi ceremony

For her haldi ceremony, Misha Japanwala wore a self-designed backless kurta. It featured fish motifs as a homage to her then-fiance, Fisher Neal, whose friends and family call him ‘Fish’, the short form for Fisher, which she drew on her own and got embroidered by embroiderers in Karachi. Along with it, she wore flowy gold pants and an orange net dupatta with a gota border. She completed her look with a braided hairdo, floral jewellery and subtle makeup. On the other hand, Fisher wore a yellow Benarasi kurta with white salwar pants, also designed by Misha.
